The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival

Event Date(s)

Sep 20, 2014 | 08:00AM - 10:00PM

The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival is pleased to announce that its 15th annual Film Festival will be held September 19-21.

The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival showcases emerging talent in Filmmaking and Screenwriting. Our three-day festival hosted in Southern California’s favorite mountain resort introduces new audiences to independent film by providing a platform for Filmmakers to engage with an active audience, meet others in the industry, and forge relationships to help advance their careers.

Respected industry professionals participate in panel discussions and lead seminars with topics that are relevant to today’s filmmakers and film audiences. Festival patrons travel from Southern California and other parts of the country to attend BBLIFF in our picturesque mountain community. We create an intimate atmosphere that allows for patrons and filmmakers to easily connect with each other. Join us this fall in celebrating our 15th annual festival!

The first festival to feature a 3D showcase, Big Bear Film Festival is currently screening over 100 documentaries and narrative films (about 15% feature length and 85% short features) for this year’s event to be held at the Village Theaters and other venues around Big Bear Village.

During the festival, 115 movies will be shown in venues around Big Bear, along with panels and seminars on subjects of interest to both aspiring filmmakers to fans of filmmaking, including distribution, funding sources, the state of women in the industry and crafting a story.

Friday September 19th: Industry Networking Event, Opening Night Party and Honoree Awards in Directing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Film Music and the Community Awards

Saturday September 20th: Filmmaker Breakfast, Centerpiece Film & Reception

Sunday September 21st: Festival Awards & Wrap Party

Tickets will be available in July on the website and through the Big Bear Visitor's Bureau
