Kids Adventure Race™ Returns to Big Bear
A real adventure race. Built for kids.
The Kids Adventure Race™ returns to Big Bear this summer, bringing three days of team-based alpine adventure to Bear Mountain from August 28–30, 2026.
Designed for teams of two, ages 6 to 14, this is a true outdoor challenge where young racers bike, hike, wade, climb, navigate, and problem-solve their way through real mountain terrain. The course ranges from 2.5 to 4 miles and features 12 to 15 obstacles, including alpine singletrack, forest terrain, and a lakefront crossing.
This is more than a kids’ race — it’s an adventure built for courage, teamwork, confidence, and unforgettable mountain memories. Challenging, safe, supported, and real, the Kids Adventure Race™ gives young adventurers the chance to test their skills in one of Southern California’s most exciting alpine settings.
Whether your child is already an outdoor explorer or just discovering their adventurous side, this event is made for kids who are ready to gear up, team up, and take on something big.

Teams of two, ages 6-14, are welcome to participate in this year's 3.5 to 5 mile Alpine course featuring up to 15 obstacles.
Registration is currently open and will close August 20th; prices will increase as we draw closer to event date.
