One of the best Fourth of July fireworks shows in Southern California happens over Big Bear Lake! Have a blast at seven thousand feet with music, festivals and celebrations happening all over the mountain. Bring your camp chairs, blankets, lots of sunscreen and hats. And, oh yeah, don’t forget your American flags! Let Freedom Ring!


1. Rotary & Marina Resort - Lakefront Fireworks and BBQ

For more than 40 years the Big Bear Lake Rotary Club’s Fourth of July Lakefront Fireworks andBBQ at the Marina Resort has been the top choice forlocals and visitors. The lakefront location provides a great spot to view the fireworks display, enjoy delicious BBQ prepared by local restaurants, a DJ to keep the party rockin’ and midway games for the kids. Bring chairs, beach blankets, sunscreen and a hat for a Fourth of July you will never forget!

2. Snow Summit - Above The boom

Take the 4th of July to new heights this year at Snow Summit. Get awe inspiring views of Big Bear Lake's Annual Fireworks Spectacular. Hop on the Scenic Sky Chair and climb to 8,200 feet for an evening of food, fun and fireworks. Chair lifts open at 5:00 p.m. with BBQ dinner at Hog on the Rocks or Skyline Taphouse at 5:30 p.m. Full no host-bar. Live music and a complimentary glass of champagne when the fireworks begin at 8:45 p.m. Children 4 and under are FREE. For maximum comfort, bring foldable chairs, blankets and sturdy shoes.

3. Miss Liberty Paddleboat Tour - Fourth of July Cruise

Come aboard the Miss Liberty Paddlewheel Tour Boat to watch the fireworks explode above the Lake. Cruise includes a variety of hors d’ oeurves, two drink tickets, and the best seat on the lake for viewing the star-spangled skies. Beer, wine, soft drinks and assorted snacks available for purchase in the cash only galley. Boarding is at 7:30 p.m. SHARP. Dock departure at 8 p.m. and tour returns to dock at 10 p.m. or upon completion of fireworks.

4. Captain John's Fawn Harbor - Independence Day Extravaganza

Let’s Party! DJ Reggae music! Bring your own picnic, BBQ’s and coolers. Huge beach so bring your chairs, beach blankets and umbrellas or EZ Ups to get your spot early. Paddleboard, canoe, kayak and boat rentals will be available all day. When the sun goes down you can bundle up at your own site and view the Big Bear Lake Rotary fireworks from Captain John's Fawn Harbor & Marina.

5. The Pines Lakefront - Fourth of July Celebration

No one has a better firework viewing area than The Pines Lakefront. This year you have two choices for dining and viewing. The Pines Garden Patio Buffet and The Pines Terrace Buffet will open at 6p.m. Music by Fantasy and music feed from K-BHR radio for the fireworks.

6. The Village Block Party - Free Fireworks Viewing

Head to The Village for some fun and fireworks viewing. Starting at 4 p.m. you can set up your chairs, flags and coolers right on Pine Knot Ave. in the heart of The Village. Set up your spot and then you can wander through the Village, grab a bite to eat, have an ice cream cone, crawl through a pub or two and when night falls, enjoy the best fireworks display in Southern California.
