Surrounded by the beautiful national forest, Big Bear Lake offers endless trails for you and your pup to explore. From Castle Rock Trail to the scenic Alpine Pedal Path, there’s something for every level. Be sure to keep your pet leashed, bring plenty of water, and always clean up after them.
After your hike, cool off! Rent a kayak or paddleboard from Getboards or enjoy a pontoon ride from one of our local marinas.
Want to cruise around town or ride along the Alpine Pedal Path? Several local bike shops offer pet-friendly bike trailers, so your four-legged friend can come along for the ride.
When it’s time to refuel, grab a bit to eat at one of our dog-friendly restaurants. Many offer outdoor patios, water bowls, and even special dog menus for your pup.
Seasonal Fun:
Summer: Head over to the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater for the Music in the Mountains concert series -perfect for relaxing with your pup while enjoying live music.
Winter: Warm up with a drink at Barrel 33 with live music or grab a hot chocolate and sit by one of the outdoor fire pits in the Village.
