The Reserve is located at the intersection of Hwy 18 and Holcomb Valley Road on the north side of Baldwin Lake. Roadside signage marks the entrance to the Baldwin Lake Ecological Reserve Visitor Center where you'll find a half-mile trail loop with 11 marked posts. Free parking and restrooms are available. Sail Around the Lake!

Set sail on Big Bear Lake! Several marinas offer daily lake tours that are perfect for passengers of all ages. Just sit back, relax and let your knowledgeable captain tell stories and point out landmarks along the Big Bear Lake shoreline. Some fun facts you'll learn about are the Hollywood movie sets near the lake and around Big Bear Valley. Did you know the original Frankenstein movie was filmed at the Old Dam Keepers House? Or that the movie War Games was filmed at a cabin that sits right on the lake’s edge. The skipper might even point out some houses owned by Hollywood icons and other celebrities.

- The Miss Liberty Paddlewheel departs from Pine Knot Marina located near the foot of the village. This boat is the largest of all of Big Bear Lake's touring vessels with a capacity for 125 passengers. Miss Liberty features two levels, both fully-shaded and sheltered with seating on the upper deck and in the main salon. Snack and refreshments are available as well as restrooms.

- Holloway's Marina is home to The Big Bear Pirate Ship. Time Bandit is a 1/3 scale replica of a 16th Century Spanish Galleon and was used as a prop in Terry Gilliam’s movie Time Bandits. The Pirate Ship is the only tour boat on Big Bear Lake with a liquor license (What is a pirate ship without rum?) Expect to hear “Parrot-head” style music played on tours. Aaargh!

- The Big Bear Queen and Cruiser tour boats both make daily departures from Big Bear Marina. These 90 minute excursions convey the rich history of Big Bear Valley. Ask about Sunset and Moonlight cruises. Pets are welcome aboard. Call 909-744-4948 to book.
