Halloween is around the corner and Big Bear sets the best scene to spend this spooky holiday.
There are plenty of fun activities and events for all ages to enjoy this frightfully-fun night, from haunted houses, zoo events and safe family-friendly trick-or-treating. Here are a few of our favorites:
Trick or Treat in The Village
Everyone and their dog, yes, there is a dog costume contest, is invited to the Annual Halloween in The Village. Costumed kids go from shop to shop and booth to booth filling their bags with candies. Over 50 merchants welcome your little ghosts and goblins. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. The pet costume contest is at the Copper Q on Pine Knot Ave in The Village. Call (909) 878-4777 for pet costume judging time.
Halloween Ball at Santana & Mavericks
Join Santana & Mavericks for dinner and an annual costume contest - the winners get great prizes! Then, come back November 1st for their Dia de los Muertos dance party, in honor of passed loved ones. The winner of best costume or best day of the dead face paint gets a $100 gift certificate to Santana & Mavericks, second place gets a $50 gift certificate, and third place gets a surprise gift.
