The first weekend of activities the Old Miners Association has the award winning country recording artist Brent Payne Concert. Step into the Cave, Big Bears newest entertainment and event center, and listen to three great bands bringing you different flavors of bluegrass. The concert begins with original tunes by Keeping Fire about the gold mining history of Southern California followed by the desert grass sound of the Shadow Mountain Band. And one of the most acclaimed family bands in Bluegrass, The Wimberleys, close out the evening.

Big Bear Lakes Renaissance Faire is three weekends of mirth and merriment, excitement and education. The village streets lead you past crafts, costumes, food, stages, and games. The Enchanted Shire has six stages of ongoing shows performing every half-hour. There is also an arena for the jousts and the Great Square for pirate battles, maypole dances, and other fun!
