Big Bear Lake Memorial 5K Fun Run to Benefit "Wounded Warrior Project"

The Big Bear Lake Memorial 5k Fun Run is set to take place
Sunday May 26, 2013 in The Village of Big Bear Lake, CA. The 3.1 mile road run
starts in The Village and winds its way through the neighborhoods of the south
shore before returning back to The Village for a fun finish. Adults – $35

The Big Bear Lake
Memorial 5k Fun Run is a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and
plans to donate $3 to the Wounded Warrior Project for each racer in this year’s
race. The Wounded Warrior Project honors those who incurred service-connected
injuries or illness on or after September 11, 2001. Donations to WWP helps
thousands of Wounded Warriors – and their families – as they return home from
the current conflicts.
The Big Bear Lake Memorial 5k Fun Run is the newest event
under the Open Air Big Bear banner of events which include everything from
snowshoe racing to paddling clinics, trail runs, bike races and more.
addition to the 5k fun run, participants are also invited to a screening of “To
Them That’s Gone.” Best Documentary and Best Director Award Winner from the NYC
Independent Film Festival this is a documentary film about Run for the Fallen,
who’s mission was to run one mile for every service member killed in Operation
Iraqi Freedom. The screening is to be shown Saturday night prior to Sunday’s
race at a pre-race party hosted by Open Air Big Bear and the Big Bear Lake
International Film Festival. Film screening is free with race registration and $10 for all others
