From San Diego & Mexico
Highway 330 through Highland (recommended)
If you're driving from:
Temecula, Escondido, or San Diego...
- Take I-15 N, to the 215 N, to I-10 E to the 210 W to access Hwy 330
- Hwy 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into Hwy 18.
- Once you reach Big Bear Lake Dam, continue straight onto Hwy 18/Big Bear Blvd OR turn left and take Hwy 38 to Fawnskin.
If you're driving from:
Mexico...
- Take I-5 or I-805 from the Border into San Diego and navigate to the I-15N, then to 215 N, to I-10 E or 210E to access Hwy 330
Highway 38 through Mentone
If you're driving from:
Temecula, Escondido, or San Diego...
- Take I-15 N, to the 215 N, to I-10 E
- Exit the I-10 E on Orange Street to continue to the second stop light (Orange St) and turn left.
- Turn right on Lugonia Ave (Hwy 38).
- Follow Hwy 38 through Mentone and follow signs to Big Bear.
If you're driving from:
Mexico...
- Take I-5 or I-805 from the Border into San Diego and navigate to the I-15N, then to 215 N, to I-10 E to access Hwy 38.
Highway 18 (East Entrance) through Lucerne Valley
Recommend if Hwy 330 and Hwy 38 are both closed.
If you're driving from:
Temecula, Escondido, San Diego, and Mexico...
- Navigate to the 210 E or 10 E to the 15 N.
- Follow the 15 North over the Cajon Pass towards Victorville and take Exit 153A (D Street/CA-18).
- Merge onto D Street/CA-18.
- Turn right (East) at Hwy. 18 through Lucerne Valley.
- In Lucerne Valley, Hwy. 18 bears to the right (south) toward the mountains.
- Follow Hwy 18 around the north end (North Shore Dr) to Stanfield Cutoff, turn left and proceed over the bridge.
- At the stoplight turn right onto Big Bear Blvd.
