Free Big Bear Trolley

Mountain Transit's Free Big Bear Trolley service offers convenient and reliable transportation for both locals and visitors to help eliminate traffic congestion and car pollution in the Valley.

Traffic and illegal parking are a significant issue for Big Bear during the busy winter and summer seasons. We encourage everyone to leave their vehicles at their homes or rentals and hop on the Free Big Bear Trolley to navigate the town.

Three new routes have been specially designed to make accessing restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, ski resorts, snow play areas, parks and work easy and efficient.

BLUE LINE

The Blue Line runs from Veterans Park to Willow Landing Rd/Blue Jay Rd and returns to each stop 30 minutes.

RED LINE

The Red Line Trolley runs from The Village at Knickerbocker Rd to Erwin Lake and returns to each stop every 30 minutes.

GOLD LINE

The Gold Line Trolley runs from Mountain Meadows Senior Apartments to Paradise Way and returns to each stop every 60 minutes.

Mountain Transit offers a variety of other transportation services:

  • Off Mountain lines operate (at cost) to/from Big Bear Lake to/from San Bernardino, Crestline, and Lake Arrowhead. All Mountain Transit vehicles are wheelchair accessible and are equipped with bike racks. See More Info
  • Dial-a-Ride service is provided FREE Monday through Sunday throughout the Big Bear area including the communities of Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Erwin Lake, and Sugarloaf.   • Seasonal Park and Ride service operates in the winter months offering service between remote parking lots and Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Park your car in the Mountain Transit Lot, take a Trolley to Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, or the Village.
