Big Bear Snow Play

Big Bear Snow Play, once a ski hill known as Rebel Ridge, sports the longest runs in the Southern California, serviced by a Magic Carpet uphill lift that eliminates the tiring uphill struggle through snow.

Grizzly Ridge Tubing Park at Snow Summit

Skip the lift lines and satisfy your need for speed in a high-speed snow tube at Snow Summit's newest attraction.

Big Bear has two quality inner tube snow play fun parks The Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain, just west of Big Bear Village, and Big Bear Snow Play, which is located on the east end of Big Bear Blvd. Each inner tube snow play park has covered Magic Carpet rides with clear Plexiglas tunnels. Big Bear's inner tube parks are the only facilities in Southern California that have Magic Carpet uphill lifts that transport riders to the top of the mountain. Each Magic Carpet ride is comprised of a large moving conveyor belt, similar to an airport terminal people-mover. The purpose of Magic Carpet rides is to eliminate the stress of climbing the hill, which in turn provides more opportunity for having fun. When compared to sledding on unmaintained areas along the roadside, the Magic Carpet lifts give families more tubing in an hour than they would in a whole day if they were walking.

Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain and Big Bear Snow Play both have ski-resort quality snowmaking systems to ensure there is always snow to last through April for inner tubing thrill seekers. To ensure optimum sliding conditions each park grooms its runs nightly, just as ski resorts do.
