Snowmaking Means The Start Of The Ski Season
Posted: 11/04/10 | By Daniel
This past week we've been treated to a familiar sound in the Big Bear Valley, the hum of snowmaking equipment. Snow Summit, Bear Mountain, Big Bear Snow Play and Alpine Slide were all making snow.
In fact, Snow Summit and Alpine Slide are open and the reward is sweet, a bunch of happy riders and sliders! Plus that early season vibe is strong and getting stronger: The forecast promises epic conditions for Thanksgiving.
While we've all listened to the hot debate over the long range weather predictions, a cold and potentially dry winter, the bottom line is the riding is good and you need to take part sooner than later. So, get the boards tuned, dust off the boots and find that cool beanie you bought last season. Regardless of what the weather geeks are saying, winter is here!
Looking forward to earning my turns!
Seriously, this is So Cal at its best: Two mountains open for riding over the long holiday weekend! Ready, Set, Snow!
