Big Bear Global Village: An Olympic Viewing Experience
February 6th - 22nd, 2026
An inaugural, destination-led winter placemaking initiative that transforms Moonridge into Southern California’s communal Olympic village during the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
Cheer on Team USA in the heart of Big Bear with a full-on Olympic Village experience. The Big Bear Global Village transforms Moonridge into a connected lineup of viewing parties across local businesses, mountain stops, and family destinations, all within an easy, walkable corridor. Every stop brings a different crowd, a different sport, and a different Olympic-inspired bite or drink—so you can bounce around, celebrate Team USA, and soak up the mountain magic all in one unforgettable day.

Head to Bear Mountain and enjoy the first USASA Slopestyle competition of the season on February 1, 2026 from 10AM-3PM. Whether you partake in the events or cheer on the talented athletes, Big Bear Mountain Resort will host several USASA events throughout the 25/26 winter season.

Big Bear Polar Plunge
Saturday, April 18th, 2026 at 11 AM
Run, walk, or dance into the chilly waters of Big Bear Lake and raise funds for Special Olympics Inland Empire. For a minimum $50 donation, you can participate in the coolest event of 2026!
Plungers will have the opportunity to earn incentives, party with friends, and be freezin' for a reason: to help support Special Olympics athletes and programs.
