Inherit the Wind:
"Inherit the Wind" is the dramatic telling of the most famous trial in American history. Some dialogue comes directly from trial transcripts, but playwrights Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee remind us that this is neither history nor journalism. The play was written in response to 1950's era McCarthyism.

Songs of Broadway:
"Songs of Broadway," the director is auditioning last minute acts and rehearsing others as he tries to get a new variety show open. Young singers and dancers anxiously await their moment in the spotlight while the reigning "Diva" isn't all that excited about being forced to rehearse with all this "raw" talent.  The director is losing his wits and yet the show still must go on. The production is a showcase of some of the greatest singing talent available, and is loaded with award-winning performers from the music studio of Diane Sloan Kubeja.

The Lost Van Dusen Gold Mine:
"The Lost Van Dusen Gold Mine" is believed to be a true story of a miner murdered for his rich ore. In the melodrama, poor Belle is about to lose her home. Ben Lion, her fiancé of only 20 years, has lost both his mind, and right now, more importantly, his gold mine!

The shows play Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. Please call 805-807-9939 for show times. Visit BigBearTheater.com to purchase tickets online.
