Right in the heart of the Village is your one-stop Visitors Information Center. Visit the Center for the most complete information provided by a friendly Big Bear local, who knows the ins and outs of what’s happening and things to do in Big Bear.
You may visit the Visitors Center daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here you will find literature and brochures from various lodges, restaurants, shops, recreation, services and attractions. Big Bear map information and other useful guides are available to help you get around town, on the lake or on the trails, as well. Get up-to-the minute weather reports, road conditions and other useful Big Bear map assistance. Here you can purchase a day-use Adventure Pass for access to the wilderness. The Big Bear Visitors Center is a great place to find out what events are happening around town with a calendar of events kiosk at the front entrance. Here you will find hot deals, vacation packages and coupons to help you save a little money on your trip. Don’t forget to pick up a souvenir. It is open 7 days a week with the mission of educating our guests on how to best enjoy our forested community.

Q: What is the Big Bear Visitors Center?
A: The Visitors Center is centrally located in the Village and is a source of information for visitors to Big Bear Lake, as well as many people who call Big Bear Home. We also help provide people with firsthand information during times of emergency or during events to make traveling to Big Bear a smooth and enjoyable process.

Q: What kind of information can I get at the Visitors Center?
A: The information provided by the Visitors Center staff is very broad. You can always get basic information on lodging and dining at the Visitors Center. You can also get a great deal of information on various activities in Big Bear. But the most useful information you can get at the Visitors Center is insight from local staff members who have lived in Big Bear for a majority of their lives. The first hand recommendations and guidance you'll receive from our friendly Visitor Center Greeters could be essential in determining the best hiking trail or picnic area for you and your family, or which route to take into or out of Big Bear. We also have a great opportunity to provide information on local weather and road conditions throughout the year.
Q: What facilities are available to guests at the Visitors Center?
A: We're proud to provide access to FREE Wifi for all of our visitors. We also have public restrooms that are open 24/7 and a beautiful garden with a picnic table. The Visitors Center also provides free parking in the heart of The Village. Inside the Visitors Center you can find visitor's guides and brochures for local events and activities. Our lodging guide is also available in the Visitors Center, as well as in our entry way.
Q: Does the Visitors Center sell Adventure Passes?
A: Yes we do! Single day Adventure Passes are available in the Visitors Center for $5.00 each when purchased with cash. If you want to make your purchase using a credit card, you may do so for $5.00 plus $1.00 processing fee. These passes are good for the day you purchased them and there is no limit to the number of passes someone may purchase at one time.
