Take the Scenic Route

Due to flood damage, Hwy 38 from Redlands is closed to Big Bear. Hwy 330 from Highland, Hwy 18 through Waterman Canyon, and Hwy 18 from Lucerne Valley all remain open to traffic. Before travelling, check traffic conditions and winter weather conditions to choose the safest and most efficient route.

Carry Chains

Always Carry Chains

All drivers are required to carry tire chains/cables in their vehicle from November 1 through April 25. CalTrans has the authority to stop and inspect vehicle preparedness during storm conditions.

Winter Parking Notice

No Street Parking

No parking is permitted on any street from October 14 through April 15 within the City of Big Bear Lake while snow conditions exist. Vehicles in violation will be towed away at vehicle owner's expense.
