Join Chirp Nature Center on August 1, 2020 at 8AM for an educational bird-watching walk exploring birding hot spots throughout the Big Bear Valley and San Bernardino National Forest.

This walk will provide birdwatchers at all levels of experience an opportunity to observe and identify local Big Bear birds, learn good birding locations, and enjoy Big Bear’s unique natural setting. For more experienced birders, the bird walks provide a chance to get out and practice identification skills, and share knowledge with fellow nature enthusiasts.

The free bird walk will leave from Chirp Nature Center at 8AM sharp, and are open to all ages. The event will last approximately an hour and a half and sometimes include moderate walking or hiking. Participants carpool as needed, with an Adventure Pass recommended, but not necessary. Locations vary each event depending on local conditions. Complimentary refreshments, an opportunity to discuss the experience, ask questions and enjoy the company of your fellow birders will be provided at Chirp upon return.
