Conquer the Wall

A 1-mile run, uphill, starting at 7000'. The task may be simple but it's far from easy! Challenge yourself to the toughest mile race to exist. The 2024 Conquer the Wall event welcomes competitive runners, kids & families, and general gluttons for punishment. The trek may be daunting but the finish line will taste so sweet!

Prizes:

$100 cash prizes for top male and female winner. Custom awards to winners of age categories:
Male and Female 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ and to winning teams:
Top male team, top female team, and top mixed team (must include 2 females minimum). Top 5 times for each team will be used to score.

About the Event: When Olympian Ryan Hall began his journey as a runner, it all started here. Ryan grew up just 5 minutes away from Snow Summit where his weekly cross country training sessions included a 1-mile timed run up "The Wall" - one of Snow Summit's double black diamond ski runs. Today, the high school cross country team still utilizes this course every summer for their training, hoping to reach the heights Ryan Hall established. Three State Champions later...it seems to be working!
