Celebrate Winter Solstice Hike!

The winter solstice is that magical moment when the world tilts just enough to give us the shortest day and the longest night of the year, a cosmic pause button marking winter’s true arrival. In the Northern Hemisphere, it usually lands around December 21st, when the Sun dips to its lowest point in the sky before slowly beginning its climb back toward longer, brighter days.

Welcome winter with our special 5-hike series designed to bring in the solstice with movement, intention, and mountain energy. Each hike is a chance to breathe in the crisp air, celebrate the turning of the season, and, who knows, maybe even help manifest that perfect blanket of snow we’re all hoping for. We’ll explore a mix of Woodland Trail and Cougar Crest, letting the forest set the tone as we move through the shortest day of the year.

Snowshoe Possibility:

If the snow arrives and conditions allow, these hikes will automatically transform into snowshoe tours for an even more magical winter experience.

Additional fee for snowshoe tour: $30 per person
Snowshoe rentals (if needed): $23 per person

We'll send you an email if Mother Nature blesses us with snow and your hike is converted to a snowshoe tour. It will include instructions for obtaining rentals, a payment link for the additional fee, and tips for what to wear and bring.

Hike Pricing

4-hour moderate hike (Cougar Crest): $80 per person
If changed to snowshoe: + $30 per person and snowshoe rental (if needed)

1.5-hour easy hike (Woodland Trail): $30 per person
If changed to snowshoe: + $30 per person and snowshoe rental (if needed)
