Dark Sky Week

Care for Big Bear is joining Dark Sky International's annual campaign Dark Sky Week this April 13 - 20, 2026. Join us around the community for:

  • Night hikes with Big Bear Hiking Adventures and presentations from the Big Bear Solar Observatory
  • A Dark Brew Trail with hot and cold sips from your favorite local bars and coffee houses

Climate & Cocktails

Clean the climate, then claim your Cocktail! Join Care for Big Bear monthly along the shoreline, in our parks, and in our neighborhoods to collect trash and clean our environment. Then kick back and enjoy a cocktail, mocktail or other beverage on us while you mingle with your fellow climate heroes. RSVP Below!

Fishin' for $50K Clean-Up Giveaway!

Care for Big Bear is partnering with Fishin' for $50K on a special giveaway for our valued volunteers! When you participate in three (3) Climate & Cocktails events, you earn a FREE entry to the tournament on May 30 - 31, 2026. (whle supplies last)

If you already volunteered in the January and/or February Climate & Cocktails events, those may count towards your 3 days.

Saturday, April 25, 2026

Clean-Up: 1 PM - 3 PM at Elm St & Catalina Rd. Cocktail Hour: 3:30 PM - 5 PM at Rewind Collective.

Care for Big Bear will cover the cost for one (1) beverage per Volunteer who:

  1. Joins the Climate & Cocktails clean-up segment from 1 PM - 3 PM.
  2. Signs a Liability Waiver upon arrival.
  3. All minor Volunteers must be accompanied by an adult.
  4. A valid ID proving 21+ age must be presented to the host restaurant for any alcoholic beverages ordered.
  5. Photography and video will be present.

Care for Big Bear will cover first drink costs from 3:30 PM - 5 PM at the host restaurant.
