Big Bear Lake Attractions

Discover Big Bear's best attractions for visitors of all ages. Big Bear Lake specializes in outdoor fun and adventure, but when the snow flies or the rains fall, there's plenty to do indoors and out of the elements

Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain

Southern California's only authentic and year-round bobsled experience. It begins with a scenic chair lift ride to the top, then riders control their speed twisting and turning down a 1/4 mile long track. Their Soaring Eagle takes riders to new heights for an eagle's eye view of the Valley as you whoosh through the air at incredible speeds. Race your friends on the Go-Kart track or putt around on the 18-Hole Mini Golf Course.

The Mineshaft Coaster is California's 1st and only Mountain Coaster. Enjoy breathtaking views on the way up, then speed down through thrilling hairpin turns, dips, tunnels, bridges and 360-degree corkscrews along the mountainside on a mile long track. Each rider controls their own speed and braking with an easy to use lever. Smaller children may ride with an adult.

Base Camp at Snow Summit

During the summer, Snow Summit is home to SoCal's premier Summit Bike Park, but guests and kids can enjoy many non-biking activities including the Scenic Sky Chair, hiking, gold mining, a 30-foot climbing wall, zip line, Eurobungy® trampoline, concerts and events, and dining.

Snow Summit hosts numerous mountain biking competitions plus popular events like Spartan, Above the Boom, and Crafts & Cranks.

Big Bear Alpine Zoo

Big Bear Alpine Zoo is the “go to” facility for injured and imprinted animals. Their rehabilitation facility offers injured, orphaned and imprinted wildlife a safe haven, either temporarily while they heal, or permanently if they are unable to survive on their own. Most of the Zoo's funding comes directly from admission costs, but there are many ways you can show your support for this wildlife sanctuary.

Donate! Your donation will support costs of building the new zoo, feeding the animals, construction of exhibits, general operations, medical care for the animals, educational programs and special events.
