Snow Summit Bike Park is Southern California’s Learn to Mountain Bike headquarters for first time beginners or for those who want to improve their riding skills.

This August is Learn to Mountain Bike (Learn to MTB) Month, and Snow Summit Bike Park if offering a complimentary Mammoth + Summit Bike Park Pass (valid for the rest of the 2015 season) to anyone who completes all four mountain bike clinics.

“We’ve designated the month of August for newbies and intermediate level riders with some hands-on courses taught by experts,” said Big Bear Mountain Resorts Director of Marketing Clayton Shoemaker. “The purpose is to give beginners a quality learning environment where they can obtain the fundamentals of riding trails, and as a bonus, those who complete all four clinics automatically get a Mammoth + Summit Bike Park Pass that is good for the rest of the 2015 season.”

Clinics are held every Friday through Sunday, twice per day at the Skill Builder Park. Participants access the new Small Wonder beginner trail via Chair 4. Clinic times are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. with each session lasting 2.5 hours. Clinics include Beginner XC, Intermediate XC, Beginner Bike Park and Intermediate Bike Park. All clinics are first come first served, and can be purchased at any open ticket window the day of the clinic. Purchase of a season pass or Bike Park lift ticket is required for participation in the clinic.

Other Learn to MTB promotions include Midweek Madness, which gives anyone who rents a bike package Monday through Thursday a free lift ticket for that same day. Also, existing Season Pass Holders get a 20% discount on bike rentals Monday through Thursday. Season Pass Holders can also sponsor first time beginners and receive a $25 Food & Beverage Gift Card for every Learn to MTB rider they get to complete the 4-clinic program.
