The Big Bear Village, in the heart of Big Bear Lake, has undergone a thorough revitalization and will be completed just in time for the holiday shopping season. Construction for the renaissance project to improve and beautify the Big Bear Village began in April 2013, and is now ready to show its new facelift.

A grand re-opening ceremony is scheduled for October 31, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Copper Q located at 645 Pine Knot Avenue. Big Bear Lake city officials will present before-and-after photos of the village that highlight major improvements made such as heated sidewalks, seat walls, propane-fueled outdoor fire pits, street pavers, curbs, gutters, landscape developments, lighting, street signs, and decorative street crossings. The grand re-opening ceremony is open to the public and light refreshments will be served. "The overall look and feel of the Village has dramatically improved, and it will surely elevate our visitors’ experience," said City of Big Bear Lake Director of Public Works David Lawrence.
