The Wizard of Oddz - A PanToto presented by the High School Performing Arts Department at the PAC

Event Date(s)

May 02, 2019 | 07:00PM - 10:00PM

Continuing in the tradition of the charm of English Panto theatre, the Big Bear High School Performing Arts Department is proud to present, The Wizard of Oddz – A PanToto.

Performance dates/times are May 2-3-4 at 7pm and May 4-5 at 2pm

Based very loosely on the famous MGM film of 1939, The Wizard of Oddz – A PanToto, follows the classic and much-loved tale of Dorothy's trip to the land of Oz or Oddz, as it were, and her quest to return to Kansas. On her journey, with the help of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, and, of course, the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy and Toto encounter a silly and farcical adventure. The story is given a Panto spin while keeping the charm and most of the plot of the original. This style of theatre, which is an English holiday custom, features musical farce, contemporary humor, slapstick, and audience participation.

The Wizard of Oddz – A PanToto is a family friendly show that children of all ages will enjoy! Directed by Brian Adams.
