For a small town like Big Bear, there’s certainly a large presence of live music across the Valley. From world renown artists at The Cave, to local musicians serenading diners, to musical theatre, and an annual concert series, there are so many ways to enjoy live music in the community!
Live Music Up Close at The Cave
The Cave in The Village is a unique venue offering a small, intimate concert experience with featured performers. Every weekend is booked with well-known original artists like Ted Nugent, Black Flag, and Gary Puckett and true-to-form tribute acts like Queen Nation, Desperado, and Mirage. This state-of-the-art music and comedy venue welcomes all ages and serves gourmet food and drinks!
Dinner with a Side of Live Music
Several restaurants in town feature live music on a nightly or weekend-ly basis. Get to know talented, local musicians while you dine at one of these delicious dives!
- The Barnstorm Restaurant features music from 5 - 9 PM every Friday and Saturday night.
- Take a seat on the patio at Oakside Restaurant & Bar every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
- Nottinghams Restaurant welcomes live music every Thursday evening.
- 572 Social in The Village lights up their outdoor stage Friday through Sunday as well as select weekdays.
- For those looking for a bit more of a late night party, the AV Bar & Nightclub in The Village features a live DJ at 9 PM Thursday through Saturday.
Music in the Mountains
The Southern California Mountains Foundation annual concert series, Music in the Mountains, brings together some incredible classic/contemporary rock and support for the beautiful public lands we call home! A ticket to a concert does more than get you into a great show, it helps to support the Foundation’s powerful conservation, recreation, and education programs.

Annual Events with Great Music
Visit Big Bear currently hosts two amazing events with live music in the spring. The annual Grill & Chill BBQ Festival and Chili Cook-Off weekends headline a range of classic rock, country, and R&B acts to pair with competing cooks’ scrumptious food!

World Class Productions at the Performing Arts Center
The community’s state-of-the-art concert hall boasts some pretty high standard performances throughout the year! Musical theater productions by Big Bear Theatre Project bring some amazing local talent to the stage as well as many fundraisers. Catch ‘An Evening with Pasquale Esposito’ this October during the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District Foundation’s fall fundraiser event!
