Big Bear is an easy place to fall in love with, and will remain in your heart forever!

Big Bear Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is all about love!

I can't count the number of times I've heard people express how much they sincerely love Big Bear. It's a simple phrase, but often said with so much passion. That phrase is "I Love Big Bear," and there are so many different reasons why people fall in love with it.

I must confess I fell in love with Big Bear because of its serene beauty. No matter what season it is, Big Bear always delivers scenic wonders. However, I like to get active outdoors and I can't think of a better place in Southern California that provides so many outdoor activities.

I went to Bear Mountain on a Saturday and Snow Summit on a Sunday. It was a fresh powder, bluebird weekend, and I took full advantage of the excellent snow conditions. Next time, I plan to strap on the snowshoes and go for a trek in the snow-covered forest. There's also inner tubing, skiing & snowboarding, ziplining, Segway Tours, helicopter tours, and off-road tours.

Some people like the quaintness of the community and come up to shop in Big Bear Village. The boutique shops are perfect to find special gifts for a sweetheart. Of course, the setting is surreal, peaceful and quiet, which is just what the doctor ordered for some rest and relaxation. One of the best ways to really take in Big Bear is to stay overnight in a resort or cabin rental. Most lodging accommodation's in Big Bear provide fireplaces, and some offer indoor whirlpool spas.

All in all Big Bear is a world far away from the city, and makes the perfect Valentine's Day retreat for anyone who truly loves nature and the great outdoors.

I Love Big Bear,

Daniel Pea
