Old Miners Association Presents "Big Bear Bluegrass Festival
Bring out your washboards, spoons and best boots for stompin’ this summer for the 2nd Annual Big Bear Bluegrass Festival July 12, 13 & 14, 2013. Enjoy three days of live "Bluegrass with Big Bear Altitude." Choose from breath-taking Breakfast & Bluegrass concerts aboard the Miss Liberty Paddlewheel Cruise, intimate acoustic sounds onboard an authentic Haywagon Ride through the Village, free Bluegrass concerts on the Beach, a headliners Nitegrass concert in the Village, and much more.
For Bluegrass fans with little ones, head on down to the Village and enjoy some "Beans & Banjos'" at the Old Miners Chili Cookoff, complete with pony rides, gold panning, hoppy horses, potato sack races and other events for the whole family. Bluegrass workshops will also be available for enthusiastic students eager to learn from the talented group of Americana aficionados invading Big Bear this summer. Shuttle service between sponsoring lodges, the Old Miners Chili Cookoff, and all Bluegrass concert venues will be available.
